**Job Description**
We're seeking an action-oriented engineer with intellectual curiosity who is excited to put their potential to use testing space flight hardware. The position is part of a spacecraft/space vehicle test team, where you will work as a test engineer, with a strong focus on testing of flight hardware.
As an Engineer I, you will work closely with, and be mentored by, experts in the field. You will have the opportunity to be a team member in support of significant test activity on a large space vehicle program, a subsystem on a small to mid-size effort, or take responsibility as a shift lead during spacecraft acceptance testing.
Note: AI&T is also known as systems integration and test (SI&T), assembly, test and launch operations (ATLO), missions systems integration and test (MSIT), and other names throughout the industry.

**What You ll Do:**
+ Be part of a spacecraft/space vehicle test team as a test engineer, with a strong focus on writing test scripts to support flight hardware testing.
+ Work in a fast-paced team environment, assisting in integrating and testing spacecraft hardware.
+ Work in cleanroom and lab environments to verify that the hardware meets requirements and characterize and calibrate its performance.
+ Write, review, update, and execute test procedures and test scripts.
+ Collaborate with the ground systems, simulators, flight software, and non-flight software teams to architect and design the non-flight software environment.
+ Write scripts to support the testing of space flight hardware.
+ Gain a detailed understanding of spacecraft subsystems and their operation.
+ Comply with BAE Systems' software quality and version control standards.
+ Maintain test logs and generate test reports.
+ Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
+ Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
+ Perform other duties as necessary.
**On-Site Work Environment:** This position requires regular in-person engagement by working **on-site five days** each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
**Working Conditions:**
+ Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
+ May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
+ May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required.
+ Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Master s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of related experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
+ Experience with software configuration management systems, such as Git and GitLab.
+ Experience with spacecraft command and control systems, simulators, software test benches, and other electrical ground support equipment.
+ A willingness to obtain and hold a TS/SCI clearance.
+ Proficiency in MS Office tools.
+ Solid experience with scripting and programming languages.
+ Experience with spacecraft command and control systems, simulators, software test benches, and other electrical ground support equipment.
+ Good communication skills.
+ Excellent attention to detail, while also appreciating the bigger picture of complex and ambitious projects.

A security clearance or access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position. However, the applicant must be willing and eligible for submission, depending on program requirements, after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ A desire to work hands-on with critical space-flight hardware.
+ Experience in testing and troubleshooting spacecraft, space vehicles, and their related components and systems.
+ Experience with coding languages are desired (Ruby, Python, C ).
+ Experience with Testing on Hardware.
+ Experience with RF subsystems, design, integration, and testing.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $64926 - $110374

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
