What You Will Do

This role supports the Partnership Program Officer (PPO) team by ensuring accurate valuation of engine program components, determining part values within the engine bill of materials, and providing data for new part valuations. It also involves establishing and maintaining processes for part valuation. Additionally, the role supports manufacturing operations by troubleshooting production issues, recommending tools and materials, and suggesting technological improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.

Establish Part Value: Create baseline part value allocations based on the Bill of Materials (BOM) and assign contract values and any deltas to individual parts, ensuring accurate valuation across the engine program.

Identify New Engine Parts: Identify and track new parts introduced through validated Engineering Changes for each engine program. Create tasks in the designated database with necessary details for the Cost Modeler to establish part value.

Support Finance Team: Collaborate with the finance team to allocate values to each engine component, accurately determining partners’ shares of the final value in line with contract agreements.

Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify opportunities for process and workflow improvements, using data analysis and industry best practices to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.

Communication and Reporting: Provide regular updates to the PPO on part and assembly values, potential risk factors, and mitigation strategies, offering recommendations to support informed decision-making.

Risk Mitigation: Identify and report risks in part valuation, ensuring accurate partner share calculations that align with contract and partnership agreements.

Support Manufacturing Operations: Update and maintain production process plans and manufacturing work instructions to ensure their integrity, accuracy, and completeness, supporting operational efficiency.

Evaluate Manufacturing Processes: Analyze and provide recommendations for improving manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with standards and identifying areas for optimization.

Attend and participate in group meetings, teleconferences, and/or required training.

Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using CORE tools and support AS9100D efforts.

Support project management activities.

English (read, write, speak) is required when communicating with customers, co-workers, or supervisors who only speak English.

Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications You Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace engineering.

GPA of 3.0 or higher

Qualifications We Prefer

Experience in MS Office suite (managing data and complex formulas in excel)

Experience managing multiple tasks and adhere to specific timetables

Knowledge in data analysis tools such as Power BI for reporting and data visualization

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for managing Bill of Materials (BOM)

Knowledge of CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) for understanding engineering drawings and specifications
