Job DescriptionAECOM Enterprise Capabilities are currently recruiting for a Ground and Tunnelling Engineer to join our busy and expanding experienced team. The team provides assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of Projects, either as standalone commissions or as part of multidisciplinary major projects. You may have the opportunity to work on some of the most iconic Transportation and Water projects, being part of a diverse and multicultural team. It can be a great opportunity for a mid-level profile that wants to boost his/her professional technical career on the ground engineering and digital space
The responsibilities of this role include:
Work is accomplished autonomously on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC within established procedures and practices related to ground and tunnelling engineering.Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures in ground and tunneling engineering.Provides guidance to entry level engineers and technicians.Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.Identifies discrepancies in results.Prepare and manage technical specification sections related to designs, ensuring they meet project requirements with emphasis on tunnelling projects.Working on international projects related to geotechnical engineering as part of the Enterprise Capabilities’ family. Proven commitment with Quality Control Policy and Quality Management System.Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.QualificationsMinimum Requirements
Bachelor in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.At least 2 years of specific experience in ground engineering and tunneling.At least 2 years of proven track record in the use of specific ground engineering and tunnelling software as Geoestudio/Plaxis /Rocscience.Experience in the design of retaining structures and underground works.Communicative level of English (oral and written)Preferred Qualifications
Master or postgraduate degree in Geotechnical EngineeringAdvanced level in CAD software (preferable AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).2+ years of proven track record in the use of specific ground engineering and tunnelling software as Geoestudio/Plaxis /RocscienceExperience with international regulations and standards (AASTHO; Eurocodes; British Standards, etc.)Experience in the use of structural analysis such as SAP2000 or STAAD Pro will be considered favorably.Experience working in the North America region / Australia will be considered favorably.Experience working with Common Data Environment platforms (e.g., BIM 360, ACC).Additional InformationRelocation assistance is not available for this position.
