Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our engineering department, you will contribute to a wide range of geotechnical projects, utilizing your expertise in soil mechanics, foundation design, and site investigation techniques.

Conduct geotechnical investigations, field studies, and site assessments to gather critical data for project planning and designAnalyze and interpret geotechnical data to develop comprehensive reports and recommendations for construction projectsDesign foundation systems, retaining structures, and earthworks using industry-standard software and best practicesCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate geotechnical considerations into overall project designsPrepare technical documents, including desk studies, interpretative reports, specifications, and design reportsMonitor geotechnical field activities to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standardsLiaise with contractors and clients to ensure project expectations and deadlines are metProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and techniciansStay updated on current design codes, standards, and innovative practices in geotechnical engineeringTravel to project sites as needed, including potential international assignment

 

QualificationsBSc degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a closely related field; advanced degree preferredMinimum of 3 years of experience in geotechnical investigation and design workProfessional Engineer certification or eligibility to obtain certification in the UAEProven experience in geotechnical designs, including settlement analysis, retaining wall design, foundation design (shallow and deep), earthworks, and slope stability analysisProficiency in geotechnical software such as PDisp, Repute, CPET-IT, SlopeW/Slide, and PlaxisStrong knowledge of soil and rock mechanics principles and their application in engineering practiceFamiliarity with AutoCAD and Civil 3D for technical drawing and modelingComprehensive understanding of current design codes, standards, and best practices in geotechnical engineeringDemonstrated ability to prepare, review, and interpret technical documents and reportsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skills in EnglishProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteWillingness to travel for project work, both domestically and internationallyAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment while also managing independent tasks efficiently
