We’re looking for a driven Engineer In Training to help shape the future of Public Works (Municipal) in North Texas. You’ll dive into designing, modeling and master planning for public clients, and work to develop technical solutions for challenging public works designs to service our communities, bringing technical know-how, a collaborative spirit, and a knack for building strong relationships.
Job Summary
Engineer III, under general supervision assists with engineering system design during all phases of multiple, simultaneous projects by performing design calculations, specifications, interpreting and preparing reports, applying techniques and procedures, preparing cost estimates, impact studies, permits and designs/deliverable drawings.
Job Responsibilities
Independently complete complex design tasks and prepare assigned portions of project documents with accuracy and detail.Develop new specifications, conduct research, and perform investigations to support innovative engineering solutions.Assign tasks to and collaborate with technicians and other technical staff to keep work moving efficiently.Perform and cross-check engineering calculations to ensure precision and reliability.Evaluate project requirements to select appropriate methods, and apply advanced engineering techniques and procedures.Apply working knowledge of governing design codes to ensure compliance and quality in all deliverables.Use industry-standard design tools and technical software to produce clear, high-quality plans and documentation.Required Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in EngineeringPreferred Education & Experience
2 – 6 years’ experienceEngineer-in-Training/Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT)Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
