This role provides technical expertise, project management, and leadership skills. This work incorporates coordination with the Public Services Facilities Maintenance Division. The work is performed under general supervision of the City Engineer, but extensive leeway is granted for the exercise of independent judgement and initiative. The Facilities Project Manager will serve as a primary point of contact for project stakeholders, and coordinate with other city departments, contractors, consultants, and the public to ensure successful project delivery. The position that is vacant is for a Facilities Project Manager that is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects for the City’s facilities. The Facilities Project Planner ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations. The role involves a combination of technical oversight, field supervision, communication, and coordination with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, the public, and other stakeholders.
