Job Title: Engineer Location: Naperville, Illinois Type: 11 month Contract Compensation: $36.00 hourly Contractor Work Model: Hybrid System One is currently seeking an Engineer on an 11 month contract position located in Naperville, IL. Engineer Responsibilities: + Responsible for applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power related systems. + Supports estimate preparation, develops design options, and prepares construction specifications + Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost + Create a safe work environment by putting safety first + Understand the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance + Understand the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance + Understand design practices and work processes, using all software applications used in design + Understand industry and Company design standards + Support design standard and criteria development for the system + Support construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations + Estimate material for projects + Transmit construction packages and supporting specifications Engineer Requirements: + 0-5 years of related experience + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with ABET Accreditation in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering + Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification preferred + Prior internship or co-op experience in an engineering field preferred + Ability to read and interpret engineering plans - intermediate to advanced proficiency + MS Office - intermediate proficiency + Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization + CAD/GIS - basic proficiency, Hydraulic analysis experience, Project Management preferred + Introductory engineering knowledge + Basic problem-solving skills + Basic discipline software knowledge + Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.
