Job Description
The Engineer III will be a vital member of the Secondary License Renewal (SLR) team, currently engaged in managing a significant number of items due to the commencement of the Prairie Island application process and ongoing SLR projects for Monticello. The team, typically broader, is presently composed of three members, and we are seeking to expand by adding two more resources. This role requires specific experience with nuclear power and system technology, beyond merely holding an engineering degree. An understanding of plant operations, materials of construction, and past licensing experience are crucial to success in this position.
Responsibilities
Engage with the Secondary License Renewal (SLR) team to manage ongoing projects.Provide expertise in nuclear power systems and technology specifics.Understand and implement strategies for systems like Fire Protection.Conduct document reviews and manage code compliance.Navigate and utilize SAP, various file-sharing software, P6, and UKG/Workday.Participate in program management and ensure adherence to code compliance.Perform in-service testing and collaborate with multiple vendor partners.Essential Skills
8-12 years of experience in nuclear energy.Proficiency in mechanical, civil, or electrical engineering.Experience with program management and code compliance.Familiarity with SAP, file-sharing software, P6, and document review.Ability to navigate UKG/Workday.SRO license/certification.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Attention to detail and a willingness to ask questions.Strong relationship-building skills and cross-functional team experience.SRO certification or license preferred.Involvement in user groups, especially as a chair.Navy nuclear experience is beneficial.Good 'bedside manner' for smooth handoffs between vendor partners.Work Environment
This position offers a dynamic work environment with diverse tasks and significant growth opportunities. The collaborative team culture and exposure to leadership provide flexibility in work arrangements. Access to the latest tools and technologies enhances the role's attractiveness. The position supports an internal team of five, dedicated to team processes and vendors, with limited need for interfacing upwards. It may involve working with project managers and requires environmental oversight, possibly touring the facility. Standard working hours apply, with no overtime expected. The role is primarily based at corporate headquarters but may require occasional travel to Prairie Island or Monticello.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $65.00/hr.
