Responsible for developing a world-class graphics driver targeting brand new Samsung GPU architecture.Implement standard features and extensions for APIs like Open GL ES and Vulkan.Participate in driver infrastructure architecture with a focus on power and performance requirements.Develop driver techniques that optimize real-time rendering pipelines and make them run faster.Work closely with the compiler team to exploit a framework that encapsulates driver/compiler interaction and compiler strategies.Collaborate with GPU architects to drive GPU features support from SW and review SW/HW interfaces.Ensure the timely and high quality execution of Samsung’s development schedule and overall design plans for its semiconductor device design.May work from home on a hybrid schedule within Austin and surrounding areas.Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering or closely related field plus Completion of a graduate level course, research project, or internship involving the following:1. Complex Engineering;
2. Computer Technology;
3. Mathematical Principles; and
4. 3D graphics rendering and API knowledge.
Employer will accept skills gained in pursuit of university-level degree via coursework, projects, or internships. Skills may be gained concurrently.
Total Rewards
At Samsung – SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $132,720.65 - $186,000.00. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. This is an exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for MBO bonus compensation, based on company, division, and individual performance.
Additionally, this role might be eligible to participate in long term incentive plan and relocation.
