DUTIES: Provide technical leadership in designing and developing new software and web applications software in an Agile development environment; use AWS and cloud technologies including Kafka, Spark, and RabbitMQ; automate infrastructure using Ansible; use Grafana for metrics and alerting; perform virtualization and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes; use Prometheus; script using Python, SQL, and Shell; work with RDK Platform; use Billing Platforms including CSG, and back office services; use HTTP Collector, Java, and Cassandra database; implement and maintain effective monitoring, runbooks, and alerting systems; identify issues and risk via monitoring, gathering, and analyzing applications metrics; log analysis including CI/CD environment; create and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs); collaborate with Quality Assurance, DevOps, Security and other cross-functional teams; maintain and monitor production systems for capacity issues and performance; conduct proactive health-checks; perform incident troubleshooting and remediation of issues; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and seven (7) years of experience developing software in an Agile development environment; using AWS and cloud technologies including Kafka, Spark, and RabbitMQ; automating infrastructure using Ansible; using Grafana for metrics and alerting; of which five (5) years include performing virtualization and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes; using Prometheus; scripting using Python, SQL, and Shell; of which three (3) years include working with RDK Platform; of which one (1) year includes using Billing Platforms including CSG, and back office services; and using HTTP Collector, Java, and Cassandra database
