DUTIES: Provide technical leadership in building and maintaining frameworks and products used by developers; use Java and Spring Boot to develop back-end software and microservices; work with Couchbase database; create CI/CD pipelines using Concourse; use JMeter and Locust for performance testing; perform functional testing using webdriver.io and Selenium; monitor applications using AppDynamics, ElasticSearch, and Kibana; use NGINX and SonarQube; develop software applications in an Agile development environment; use Kotlin for backend development; use Node.js framework and JavaScript for back-end and front-end software development; use React for front-end application development; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience using Java and Spring Boot to develop back-end software and microservices; creating CI/CD pipelines using Concourse; monitoring applications using AppDynamics, ElasticSearch, and Kibana; of which three (3) years include working with Couchbase database; using JMeter and Locust for performance testing; performing functional testing using webdriver.io and Selenium; using NGINX and SonarQube; developing software applications in an Agile development environment; using Kotlin for backend development; using Node.js framework and JavaScript for back-end and front-end software development; and using React for front-end application development.
