Are you an engineer who enjoys turning real customer needs into practical, manufacturable solutions? Seeking an Engineer within the Sustaining Engineering – Knife Gate Valve (KGV) Strategic Business Unit, reporting to the Engineering Manager. This role blends Order Engineering and Product Engineering, making it ideal for a recent engineering graduate or an engineer with up to 2 years of experience who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow. Your primary focus will be supporting the fulfillment of customer orders for existing products, including engineer-to-order designs for accessories and actuation solutions. You’ll also play an active role in product portfolio initiatives, contributing to design improvements, documentation, and release into production.
**In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
1. Sustainment of KGV products manufactured at Reno facility including: engineer-to-order design, CAD and documentation, and production support
2. Assist with preparing technical response to sales inquiries, and technical evaluation of suppliers and critical manufacturing processes
3. Preparation of Inspection and Test Plans to meet customer specifications
4. Team member on value engineering projects, assisting with designs, create/review CAD Models and Drawings, BOMs, and associated documents

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Sound mechanical engineering skills
+ Proficient in CAD preferably SolidWorks
+ Competent in written and verbal skills
+ Self-motivated and able to prioritize work and stay focused on overall objectives
+ Ability to time-manage self to meet project schedule milestones
+ Interpersonal skills (team player) required to maintain a respectful and productive working relationship with all employees
+ Thoroughness in documentation, attention to detail
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:**
+ Degree qualification in mechanical or related engineering
+ Sound skills in product data management system and other software related to management of documents in a PDM environment, with experience in SAP an advantage.
