What You’ll Be Doing:
This Dedicated Manufacturing & Quality IT position will be part of the Global API MES Team. Our Global API MES team is a partner with the Lilly API sites worldwide that manufacture the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) for our medicine. We partner across 4 production sites today, with two additional ones in the pipeline and growth of new sites on the horizon. The Global API MES team is purposed to deliver and support Manufacturing Execution Systems through championing standardization of business processes and common DeltaV MES/Syncade (Software by Emerson) modules that enable manufacturing sites to deliver world class performance. This position will report to an MQ IT Director and will focus on the following key elements:
Managing DeltaV MES/Syncade software release lifecycle, licensing technology & processesManaging application regression testingDelivering and managing a global common validation package and common foundational objects for recipe developmentDriving delivery and investigation of tools to accelerate recipe development and digital transformationServe as an Escalation point for Tier 2/3 supportAct as a liaison between the Global API MES team and sites during audits and inspectionsYou will work as a Systems Engineer in a growing organization to help design and develop new solutions to our manufacturing execution challenges in an industry that is ever-changing with higher quality and regulatory expectations. This role will work with site IT to tackle business problems and improve business processes by working with them to identify and ensure the most appropriate solutions are deployed. This role will bring IT principles, architecture, and technology together in a way that is business-driven and focuses on business processes. You will do this by developing in-depth knowledge of the business, building strong relationships with business partners, and assisting M&Q IT management with long-term, strategic level plans.
How You’ll Succeed:
You will drive new releases & hot fix technical assessments and related interoperability test with DeltaV MES/Syncade.You will influence life cycle decisions, coordinate & manage LCM processes, and execute\\facilitate complex technical upgrades.You may configure & deploy MES software application and system.You will enable common processes across the sites such as RA Behaviors, Global Components and Work Instructions.Working closely with IT at the sites, you will proactively influence the business towards replication & standardization to drive value and implement appropriate technical solutions.You will have the opportunity to evaluate emerging technologies and articulate implications to DeltaV MES/Syncade solution.You will maintain open communication with Emerson to address needs in standard solution or via functional packs.You will evaluate and translate functional requirements into technical solutions.Leveraging your experiences, you will solve problems and work through manufacturing situations escalating to the vendor as appropriate. You will ensure project and/or validation documentation is maintained during lifecycle & release management.You will find innovative ways to leverage DeltaV MES/Syncade to drive business value.By working jointly with IT colleagues, you will develop\\assist in the creation and maintenance of interfaces with external systems.You will be responsible for helping with business cases for new services or to modify existing services while negotiating service levels to meet business availability expectations.You will ensure that incident, problem, configuration, and change/release management are all done with alignment and understanding of business need.You will stay abreast of technology industry trends.You will apply knowledge of regulatory, legal, and quality requirements impacting the business to solution requirements.You will bring your technical experience to design reviews to ensure traceability of requirements.What You Should Bring:

Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Minimum 3+ years of MES experience and recipe authoringProfessional experience supporting/developing IT applications/solutions.Knowledge of manufacturing operations or Pharmaceutical Industry experience.Professional experience and knowledge of security, regulatory, legal, and quality requirements (privacy & GxP)Additional Information:

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$63,750 - $180,400Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
