The Engineer, Product Design and Engineering – Mechanical is driving the execution of new and duplicate power transmission projects by applying strong mechanical engineering principles, analytical skills, and cross-functional collaboration. The role is contributing to the design, evaluation, and delivery of industrial power transmission products while ensuring compliance with technical standards and supporting both manufacturing teams and customers with technical expertise.
As an Engineer, Product Design and Engineering – Mechanical, you will be responsible for:
Executing design, analysis, and evaluation activities for assigned power transmission projects while adhering to industry regulations and internal standards.
Applying engineering principles, calculations, and methods to design a wide range of industrial power transmission products across multiple industries.
Developing new power transmission solutions under guidance, in team settings, or based on engineering design precedents.
Collaborating with fellow engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Communicating project deadlines, technical needs, risks, and presenting engineering outcomes effectively.
Delivering engineering designs and bills of materials on time and with high quality as part of a cross-functional team.
Supporting manufacturing teams during product build phases to ensure design intent is met.
Assisting customers with technical expertise and addressing project-related questions.
To be successful in this role you will:
Have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
Have authorization to work in the US without sponsorship.
Have excellent working knowledge of 3D modeling software; Creo experience is a plus.
Have strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Have strong verbal and written communication abilities.
Have proven analytical and critical thinking capability.
Have the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering and business functions.
Have experience working with gears (preferred).
