Job Family Description:

We are looking for System/Software Engineers to lead and drive the development of enterprise storage firmware products and solutions. System/software engineers play key roles in multi-discipline teams working on next generation products and solutions in the Storage firmware domain. This includes working in a team responsible for product architecture, product feature definition, software design, SW development and test, customer interaction, and on-going product support. Projects typically involve coordination with internal and external development partners.

The firmware domain includes design and development of software products and solutions for managing the enterprise data center storage infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

Delivering storage array firmware / software configurations, performance, troubleshooting, debug, and fixes (code design and development)Finding solutions to complex software and product design / test problemsPerforming design and code reviewsUnderstanding and preparing product requirements (Software requirement specification)Analyzing and proposing solutions to customer issuesAcknowledging and addressing customer issues related to the product and raised to the engineering team in accordance with SLA requirementsReviewing and evaluating designs for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards; providing tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure riskDeveloping relationships with internal and external development partners on software systems design and developmentCollaborating with peers, senior engineers, technicians and external design partners

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.Typically 2-4 years experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

Required domain expertise: Embedded system programmingExperience in the overall architecture of firmware and interaction with hardware designs for products and solutionsDemonstrable system programming and debug skills in C / C++ / scriptingLinux Kernel programming, device driver experience, multi-threaded programmingAbility to work in team environments and effectively collaborateStrong written and verbal communication skillsAnalytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

Domain expertise: Embedded system programming in Servers, Storage and/or NetworkingWorking knowledge of FC, SCSI, iSCSI and FCoE protocols

USD Annual Salary: $95,100.00 - $181,500.00
