**DESCRIPTION** We are looking for a Field service diesel technician to complete our team in Dartmouth. The successful candidate would be part of the on-call team for customer repairs and out-of-hour operations. Anticipates and ensures prompt and efficient attention to customer needs. + Apply the use of specialized tools and follows documented procedures and policies to diagnose and complete less complex repairs, including identifying and preparing required parts and tools + Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field. + Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisor. + Complete required documentation, such as service worksheets, timesheets, warranty claims, quality documents via handwritten forms or business system input screens. + Complete training in line with skill and business requirements. + Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation. + Ensure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and reports any issues / incidents to site management and to their supervisor. **RESPONSIBILITIES** **In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:** **Education, certification, licenses:** + Heavy duty mechanics or Truck and transport certification is an asset for this role. + If you don't have any certification mentioned above-years of experience in the trade will be considered. + A clean driving record. + Locally valid driving permit + This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. **Experience:** + Intermediate level of field experience is necessary as this position will imply some work with no supervision. + Intermediate experience with engines is also necessary for this role. + Experience with marine vessels considered as an advantage. + If you have experience completing sea trials-this is also an asset. + Customer facing role experience is a must. **About the role:** + This is a field service position which can imply some work outside regular working hours (Saturdays AND OR late hours on weekdays). Regular working hours are Monday-Friday 8am to 5pm. + We offer 45.03$ hourly (for a certified technician) plus 2.00$ hourly field service premium. + Some overtime available depending on business needs. + Benefits start day 1 with Cummins-no waiting period. **Compensation and Benefits** Base salary rate commensurate with experience.
