THIS POSITION IS TERM LIMITED AND FUNDING CANNOT BE GUARANTEED BEYOND EIGHTEEN (18) MONTHS. THE INCUMBENT IN THIS POSITION MUST BE WILLING AND ABLE TO RESIGN AFTER EIGHTEEN (18) MONTHS OR WHEN FUNDS RUN OUT, WHICHEVER COMES FIRST.
This position will have hybrid workplace options available but will still be required to report to the listed address at the discretion of the supervisor and based on business need.

Description of Job
The Work Unit :
This work unit exists to operate and enforce three legislatively-mandated programs in chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs), lead-based paint abatement, and asbestos. The CFC section exists to reduce emissions of CFCs and to protect public health and the environment from the damaging effects of the uncontrolled release of ozone depleting compounds into the atmosphere. The Lead-Based Paint section exists to protect the public, especially children, from the health hazards associated with exposure to deteriorating and unmitigated lead-based paint, as as well as lead contaminated dust and soil in target housing and child occupied facilities. The Asbestos section exists to protect the health of the public from the health hazards associated with exposure to asbestos as a result of renovation and demolition activities.
What you will be doing
The purpose of this position is to support Program activities by providing administrative and organizational support, focusing on assisting with the Program’s enforcement activities.
Job Duties:
Administrative Duties for Regulations No. 8, Part B, 15 and 19
Provide support to the Indoor Environment Program’s enforcement activities. The position will provide customer service to internal and external customers by organizing and establishing work processes and implementing editorial, office and administrative operations to accomplish the program’s work.
Other Program administrative duties/backup
Provides temporary administrative assistance as needed in other Program areas. Assists with scanning, printing and mailing of permits and certifications.
Conducts records searches.
Responds to customer requests; scans documents to create electronic records; provides non-technical customer service to regulated communities and the general public.
Other Duties as Assigned
Attends meetings, serves on task forces or teams, completes projects, and performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
An applicant may meet the minimum qualifications for this job in one of two ways: They may qualify through their work experience alone or through a combination of education and work experience.
Experience Only:
Four (4) years of experience in administration, office management or field related to the work assigned to the position.
OR
Education and Experience:
A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in administration, office management or field related to the work assigned to the position equal to four (4) years

In addition to the minimum requirements, the successful candidate in this position will have the following experience:
