Energy Efficiency Account Manager

As an account manager, you will support commercial utility programs, working closely with the utility client and ICF’s implementation team to bring energy efficiency and bill savings to their customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The successful candidate will be highly organized, customer service oriented, and adept with Microsoft Office products. Strong communication skills are key.

The Energy Efficiency Account Manager works closely with a small team to manage the utility rebate programs' relationships with key customers and the service provider (or trade ally) community. An Energy Efficiency Account Manager focuses on key customer support, trade/ally service provider management, and other technical services for utility energy efficiency rebate programs and their stakeholders.

In this role, you would be responsible for:

outreach to new and existing customerssupporting key customers during project planning regarding applicable rebatesoutreach to new and existing service providerstracking and reporting outreach outcomesconducting market research

This position requires travel across Maryland, DC and Northern Virgina.

What you will be doing:

Outreach to existing and potential service providers / trade allies to drive submission of rebate applicationsBuild and maintain relationships with Maryland and Virginia service providers/ trade allies, contractors, distributors and industry associationsIdentify and attend industry events, including expos, trade shows, counter days, etc. to represent the utility rebate programsCoach and train service providers / trade allies and internal support team members on best practices, application processes, and technical subject matterBe a resource to the service provider community, helping manage simple IT Issues, answer questions, and assist with rebate application managementCreate and deliver Service Provider trainings for 100+ attendees; host and manage multiple webinar-based platforms; organize and provide metrics specific to training. Coordinate with the Marketing team around development of messaging and resources.Support the reporting team to assemble and provide reports, presentations, and database management using many MS Office programs and industry-specific software toolsStay informed on industry news, updates, and trends

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of a 2-year degree in Business, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Energy Studies, Energy Systems, Energy Efficiency, Energy Management, IT, Political Science, or other relevant field and 1+ years of experience OR in lieu of a degree, 3+ years of experience in the gas equipment, HVAC, or refrigeration trades will be considered.Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check

Professional Skills

Work or academic experience in Energy Efficiency or BusinessCustomer-service oriented attitudeExperience working with Microsoft Office Products. Experience with a customer relations management (CRM) tool and databases is a plus.Comfort with public speakingPreferably based in the DC/Northern Virginia area. Note - frequent travel will be required throughout the area. Up to 50%.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$66,730.00 - $113,440.00
