Energy Cost Management Analyst

At Spectrum, our Energy Cost Management Analysts prepare, analyze and interpret financial data to uncover opportunities for improvement. How You’ll Make an Impact   

Prepare, record, analyze and report on the energy costs associated with Spectrum’s products and servicesIdentify and implement cost savings opportunities through strategic financial analysisAssist in tracking and reviewing renewable energy projects, including their cost, RECs and performanceReview invoicing and reporting for renewable energy project contracts to ensure compliance with terms and conditionsCollaborate with third parties such as utility tariff departments and service partners to achieve company goalsSupport and apply the strategic plan for the Energy Management Department aligned with Spectrum’s visionAdapt to shifting priorities while maintaining focus on broader business objectives

Working Conditions   

Hybrid schedule with four in-office days weekly

What You’ll Bring to Spectrum   

Required Qualifications   

Education  

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Energy or a related field

Experience   

2+ years of general knowledge in how to analyze electricity cost1+ years working with an electric utility, energy supplier, project developer or energy-intensive company

Skills   

Proficient in reading, writing and understanding EnglishStrong analytical and interpretive skillsEffective oral and written communicationAbility to make decisions and solve problems under pressurePrioritization and organizational skillsDemonstrated computer proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Access

Preferred Qualifications

Experience

Industry-related Accounting or Energy work experienceExperience analyzing and interpreting energy generation data, PPAs, green tariffs and wholesale energy market data
