We are looking for a Consultant to join our EY Energy Consulting team. If you understand the challenges of this sector, constantly monitor new market trends and want to join us in making a difference in the energy sector – connect your talent with EY.
As a Consultant, you will work on projects with a team of professionals both in Slovakia and abroad. You will work closely with colleagues in the Czech Republic.
You will be involved in the implementation of energy projects covering regulated electricity, heat and gas markets across the entire value chain.
You will monitor changes and trends in the energy sector, analyze energy markets, propose energy trading strategies, set up financing for innovative energy projects which are designed to ensure sustainability and carbon neutrality, and much more.
Your key responsibilities
Provision of professional consultancy services to clients including development and financing of renewable energy and sustainability projects Responsibility for and fulfillment of tasks as part of client projects for energy companies within the SR and EU regulatory frameworks Conduct of market surveys and best practice, sectoral studies for individual energy fields Analysis, evaluation and proposals covering client strategies, policies and processes Regulatory and legislative impact analysis Quantitative and qualitative data collection and analyses from available sources Teamwork to find and deliver solutions as part of implementing new legislation into the processes of energy companies Monitoring and analyzing energy and climate change trends and policies
Skills and attributes for success
At least three years of work experience in consulting, in the field of regulation (power and utilities) Professional experience in consulting and market or financial analyses Knowledge of European energy and climate change policies Ability to communicate fluently in English (at least B2 level) Awareness of the Energy Value Chain and the composition of electricity, heat and gas sectors Interest in topics such as renewable energy, energy efficiency, hydrogen, decarbonization and transition to climate neutrality Good analytical skills, logical and critical thinking, attention to detail Advanced experience with MS Excel and PowerPoint; understanding the basics of Python is an advantage Completed university education with master’s degree
