At Mercy Medical Center, an Endoscopy Nurse supports minimally invasive endoscopic procedures that diagnose and treat gastrointestinal conditions. These procedures utilize a flexible tube with a camera to examine internal organs.
What You Will Do:
Prepare and assess patients' pre-procedure, review medical histories, explain processes, and verify consent.
Assist in the procedure room by maintaining sterility, supporting physicians with equipment, and monitoring patients' vitals.
Oversee post-procedure recovery, ensuring patient stability, providing aftercare education, and monitoring for complications.
Minimum Qualifications:Required:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required
Valid RN license in Massachusetts
Preferred:
Bachelor’s in Nursing
Ideal candidates will have 1 or more years of inpatient acute nursing experience, preference towards Endoscopy experience.
BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
ACLS certification, support available for certification post-hire.
Familiarity with AGNA standards
Position Highlights:
Full-Time: 40hrs/week – Day Shift
All shifts are Monday through Friday
On-call rotation required to support off-shifts, weekends, and holidays; based on unit needs.
