Description:Schedule day shift, hours varied. M-F, no weekends, holidays.An Endoscopy Clinic RN provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. This includes preparing patients, assisting physicians during procedures, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and providing post-procedure care and education. They also ensure a sterile environment, manage equipment, and maintain accurate patient records. Key Responsibilities:Patient Preparation:An Endoscopy RN assesses patients, obtains informed consent, and provides education about the procedure, including what to expect and post-procedure care instructions. Assisting During Procedures:They assist physicians with various endoscopic procedures, ensuring a sterile environment and providing necessary instruments and equipment. Monitoring Patients:They monitor vital signs, administer medications (including sedation), and assess patients' responses throughout the procedure. Post-Procedure Care:They provide post-procedure care, including monitoring patients, administering medications, and providing discharge instructions. Equipment Management:They prepare, clean, and sterilize endoscopic equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order. Documentation:They accurately document patient care, including pre-procedure assessments, medication administration, and post-procedure observations. Communication and Collaboration:They communicate effectively with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and patients and their families.

Requirements:
• Possession of a current RN License issued by the State of Iowa.
• Clinic/Physician office experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for the Healthcare Provider certified or obtained within three
(3) months of hire.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population serve
within three (3) months of hire
