Job description
Desktop Configuration and Management:
Set up, configure, and maintain desktop hardware, operating systems, and software applications.Develop and implement desktop management strategies, including imaging, application deployment, and user profile management.Maintain inventory of desktop hardware and software, ensuring all devices meet corporate standards.
Troubleshooting and End-User Support:
Serve as a point of escalation for complex desktop issues, providing Level 2 and Level 3 support as needed.Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues on desktops and provide timely resolution to end-users.Document issues, solutions, and best practices, and provide training and guidance to Level 1 support staff.
Optimization and Performance Monitoring:
Monitor desktop performance and optimize settings to enhance user experience and system reliability.Analyze and report on desktop-related metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.Collaborate with other IT teams to implement upgrades and improvements to desktop environments.
Certifications
· Certifications in desktop management (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator).
· Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions, such as VMware Horizon or Citrix.
· Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) and app protection policies
