Job Description:

Parsons is anticipating the need for an Enabling Works Site Supervisor to join our team and support on a complex infrastructure project in Dublin.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of enabling works, ensuring readiness for main construction, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and compliance.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead and oversee all enabling works activities, including site preparation, utility diversions, demolitions, surveys, environmental monitoring, and specialist works.Develop detailed project schedules, establish key milestones, and monitor progress to ensure delivery in line with programme objectives.Promote and enforce a strong safety culture, conducting regular safety tours and addressing safety concerns promptly.Oversee quality assurance and inspection processes, ensuring all works meet contract specifications and industry standards.Manage contractor performance, staff competence, and resource allocation to optimise efficiency and delivery outcomes.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, providing clear communication and progress updates.Implement risk mitigation strategies and propose cost-effective solutions where required.Ensure compliance with contract, health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations.Perform additional tasks, activities, or duties as may be required or assigned as part of the role.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

5 - 10 years experience with 3+ years specializing in Construction, Engineering, and Management on large-scale multidisciplinary railway or infrastructure projects.Minimum Level 6/7 (NFQ) or equivalent in Engineering, Construction, Project Management, or related discipline.Demonstrated experience in enabling works supporting readiness for main construction delivery.Knowledge and practical application of safety, health, and welfare regulations in construction projects.Experience implementing health, safety, environmental, and quality management processes.Familiarity with NEC4 contracts and commercial awareness on large-scale projects.Proven ability to contribute to project implementation strategies and manage stakeholder relationships.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

Knowledge of railway construction processes, materials, and techniques.Competence in developing and executing comprehensive project plans, schedules, and timelines.Ability to identify risks, adapt to changing conditions, and implement mitigation strategies.Expertise in quality assurance, construction monitoring, and compliance with technical drawings and standards.Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills in a dynamic construction environment.Additional professional qualifications in Engineering or Construction/Project Management advantageous.Membership or working towards MCIOB or MICE (or equivalent).

Note: This position is contingent upon project award and future funding, this exciting new opportunity is planned to commence in Spring 2026.
