**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** Rotating Shift **Description:** Respond to 911 calls and interfacility and tiered transfer requests, providing direct patient care within the Central Ambulance service-area. Under general supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care within CCH’s Emergency Department. Initiate and provide care within the scope of practice as defined by law providing emergency care to a wide range of patients including pediatric, adult, and geriatric. **ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Provide direct patient care in both the pre-hospital and hospital setting. + Cover on-call hours as directed and per departmental need. + Completes required vehicle, equipment and supply inspections with appropriate documentation. + Maintains constant means of communication with dispatch. + Attends monthly meetings and training programs **MINIMUM EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** + Certified State of Iowa E.M.T., must maintain active certification. + Complete required continuing education every two years to maintain current certification status. + Current BLS **Our Commitment** Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
