Admin Officer (X6)

Contract: March 2026

Salary: £14.75 per hour

Location: South London

5 days' work setting

This is a temporary contract role until March 2026 for Admin officer's role with an immediate start date (Compliance dependant) for a potential 7 -month duration with a possible extension offering a 5 day work setting and a London location. (Croydon)

Job description/Skills Required

Good administrative staff with excellent customer service skills are vital to the effective operation of the Tribunals.

The job will involve processing applications for Tribunal Hearings, including the inputting of data onto the computer system.

Clerking Tribunal Hearings, taking details of the witnesses and representatives and swearing in witnesses under oath.

General administrative duties, dealing with correspondence, emails, telephone calls and the upkeep of accurate computer records.

This post involves managing case files in a very busy office with various conflicting priorities.

The Candidate must be able to plan and prioritise workloads to meet tight deadlines and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

The Candidate must be able to demonstrate good team working skills, a flexible and versatile approach to additional and changing responsibilities and also have the ability to accurately follow instructions and procedures.

The Candidate should be able to use their own initiative, have good IT skills with the ability to produce information in a methodical and accurate manner.

Job objectives

Duties include:

Creating and updating records on in-house computer system and data inputProducing and uploading court/tribunal documentsPreparing files for court/tribunal hearingsAnswering queries (telephone/email/written correspondence/face-to-face)Clerking at tribunals face to face and by video and serving tribunal usersGeneral photocopying, linking emails and filingGeneral ad hoc office duties
