JEVS Human Services is expanding our The Choice is Yours (TCY) program and has a need for an Employment Advisor. The Employment Advisor is responsible for providing support services for participants, developing career plans, and providing employment and career pathway guidance and support to participants who have been previously involved with the criminal justice system.
Job Duties :
+ Maintain a working knowledge of PCCD and Philadelphia DA Office, and Philadelphia Defenders Association, BCC/DOC
+ Maintain a working knowledge of Diversion and Re-entry programs, and current Criminal Justice Reform initiatives.
+ Provide coaching to clients of an alternative to incarceration program to Justice Involved Youth and Adults including referrals from BCC/DOC.
+ Collaborate with the Instructors, and Job Developer regarding planning and information sharing on Education progress, ACCI assignments, job matching, job placement and retention tracking of clients
+ Coach and tap into your clients’ potential so they can discover and seize the many opportunities that are available to them.
+ Coach clients to define their goals and develop a plan for making their goals a reality.
+ Actively participate in the research aspect of this pilot program by attending training and responding to funder requests for necessary data.
+ Maintain a working knowledge of Diversion and Re-entry programs, and current Criminal Justice Reform initiatives
+ Other job-related duties as required.
+ + Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of human service/case management experience necessary.
+ Demonstrated ability to problem solve and collaborate with a variety of customers in the Welfare to Work Industry, specifically individuals with a criminal background.
+ Proficient in MS Office applications (especially MS Word and Excel). Willingness to learn the JEVS-specific database.
+ Willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and Saturdays.
+ Some inner city travel is required. Car preferred.

The base pay for this position ranges from $42,000 to 47,000 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
