Employee Relations Specialist
Description We are looking for an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team in Plano, Texas. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will play a key part in ensuring a positive and compliant work environment by addressing employee concerns, conducting thorough investigations, and providing guidance on employment matters. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic retail industry setting, managing complex cases and driving effective solutions. Responsibilities: • Conduct detailed investigations into complaints related to discrimination, harassment, and workplace conflicts, providing recommendations for resolution. • Research case details to identify root causes of issues and suggest process improvements. • Prepare comprehensive documentation for investigations, propose appropriate resolutions, and monitor the outcomes. • Offer guidance to employees and managers on company policies and compliance with federal and state regulations. • Ensure adherence to employment laws, including Title VII and other applicable regulations. • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to promote a positive workplace culture. • Utilize the employee relations case management system to track and document cases from initiation to resolution. • Compile and analyze monthly and quarterly reports to identify trends and areas of concern. • Escalate complex issues and patterns to leadership as necessary. • Perform additional duties as required to support the employee relations function. Requirements • Proven experience in employee relations, including handling complex investigations and conflict resolution. • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, including Title VII and other federal/state compliance requirements. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear guidance to employees and managers. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Proficiency in using case management systems to document and track investigations. • Strong analytical skills to identify trends and recommend process improvements. • Experience in policy development and implementation. • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
