All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **Shift** : Monday- Friday Full time 8am-5pm **Job Location** : Altamonte Springs, FL **The role you will contribute:** The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for overseeing and providing support to their assigned Employee Relations teams. This individual will serve as a strategic partner and provide guidance, information, and recommendations to Adventist Health System employees, HR Business Partners, HR leaders, Legal counsel, and state/federal agencies in the resolution of employee relations issues. The service scope of the Employee Relations Manager may include, but may not be limited to: employee relations, dispute resolutions, performance management, positive employee relations, retention strategies, administrative functions, policy and procedure support, and strategic employee relations planning. Employees are hired to help Adventist Health System extend the healing ministry of Christ. They are expected to exhibit a continuous behavior of professionalism, which includes but is not limited to, treating customers and co-workers with respect and dignity, aligning behavior with customer service principles, maintaining customer and patient confidentiality, abiding by employee guidelines for professional behavior, appearance, and communication, exhibiting teamwork behaviors, being effective in conflict resolution, helping others to understand issues and accept changes, demonstrating high standards of work performance and flexibility, maintaining positive interdepartmental relationships, keeping a positive attitude, and adhering to the policies and procedures of the organization. **The value you will bring to the team:** + Manages the delivery of their assigned employee relations function through leadership of the Employee Relations Specialists + Provides direction and guidance to their assigned Employee Relations Team on specific employee relations issues and investigations + Designs and administers the implementation of proactive programs, procedures, and plans related to employee relations issues and tasks + Partners with HR Business Partners, HR Shared Services, and HR leaders to help identify and remedy employee relations issues, alleviate legal risk, and/or create work practices which promote positive employee relations + Partners with HR Business Partners and Employee Relations Teams in the rollout of HR initiatives, especially those related to the promotion of positive employee relations + Provides support for various audits + Responds to claims and/or litigation including collecting data, analyzing data, providing summary information of data, drafting correspondences, and/or acting as the liaison between attorneys and agencies + Analyzes wage data and policy and procedures + Participates in audits as directed by the Employee Relations leadership team + Makes appropriate remedial recommendations to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures and employment laws and regulations + Serves as a liaison between facilities, employees, and leadership and the HR Shared Services Employee Relations department + Assists in building leaderships ability to manage performance issues through effective coaching and training + Works collaboratively to provide support for escalated employee relations claims + Provides leadership and support to team members on policy interpretation and other employee relations matters + Stays current on employment law, as well as employment trends + Proactively researches information to ensure compliance, provide appropriate consultation, and avoid/eliminate exposure to the organization + This position description reflects the general duties and responsibilities necessary to describe the principal functions of the job, as identified, and shall not be considered an exhaustive list of job responsibilities which may be inherent in the job. The responsibilities listed may be subject to change at any time and individuals may be asked to perform duties outside of their regular responsibilities to support the ongoing operations of Adventist Health System and its facilities. **The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed:** + Bachelor's Degree required + 5 Work Experience + 3 Years of experience in a management role required + Field of Study in Business, Human Resources, or relevant field required + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite + Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time **Preferred Qualifications:** + Master's degree + Professional in Human Resources (PHR) + Human Capital Management (HCM) experience, especially PeopleSoft or Workday This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
