**Introduction and Overview**
We are seeking a versatile **Employee and Labor Relations (ERLR) Manager for France** to lead and shape employee and labor relations across our organization. You will collaborate with passionate colleagues, and leverage extensive ERLR expertise to handle employee and labor relations effectively within your scope.
This role offers a great opportunity to influence local ERLR policies, lead both critical initiatives and daily operational activities, and contribute to the ongoing development of our business in France and the Maghreb region. Your work will support a collaborative environment where HR services, talent acquisition, labor relations, and business partners work harmoniously to advance our shared goals.
This position reports directly to the France & Maghreb Cluster Lead in the ERLR team within the Global Services HR organization.
**Objectives of the Position**
+ Facilitate business growth and performance while maintaining compliance with Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and policies.
+ Collaborate seamlessly with HR pillars to deliver a unified "ONE HR" approach to all stakeholders.
+ Maintain and adapt ERLR policies ensuring alignment with local labor laws and regulations.
+ Lead social agenda planning, employee representation meetings (e.g., CSE, CSSCT), and negotiations on collective bargaining agreements (CBAs).
+ Create and implement labor relations strategies; advise management on workforce impacts during M&A, restructuring, divestitures, and other major organizational changes.
+ Provide expert labor relations consulting and intervene directly on critical employee issues, grievances, and disciplinary cases.
+ Raise awareness of ERLR policies across business units and HR teams, fostering a culture of compliance and understanding.
+ Build and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders such as BUHRs, legal teams, sectoral leaders, and external partners.
+ Implement operational metrics, interpret business data into actionable insights, and see opportunities for continuous process improvement.
+ Motivate change initiatives and communication strategies to align with evolving organizational needs.
+ Ensure service levels and key performance indicators (KPIs) are met consistently, contributing to high-quality ERLR support.
**What You Will Need to Succeed**
+ Shown success with **7+ years** of HR experience, especially leading complex labor relations in France.
+ Robust expertise in French employment law, labor policies, and union relations, including negotiation of CBAs.
+ Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills, with a positive and influential leadership style.
+ A high level of independence and accountability, capable of supporting management and employees with tact and professionalism.
+ Solid ability to analyze metrics, craft insights, and recommend process improvements that enhance HR service delivery.
+ Experience working with HR technologies, including ticketing, document management, and knowledge platforms.
+ Adept at fostering collaboration across multiple organizational levels.
+ Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in employment/labor law, HR, or related fields is preferred.
+ Proficient in **English** ; **French** proficiency required.
