Salary: $35/hour Per the Non­Unit Rate Schedule Bargaining Unit ( click here (https://www.greececsd.org/Page/531) for contracts): Non­Unit Report Times: 9:00 am to 3:30 pm Daily Hours: 6 Work Year: 12 month Supervisor: Director of Multilingual Education Civil Service Title: School Aide Minimum Requirements: No minimum requirements. Desired Qualifications: New York State Certification in English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) preferred; Experience or knowledge of language acquisition, early childhood education and/or literacy instruction; Self directed, detail oriented and organized. Position Summary/Responsibilities: ­Instruct Emergent Multilingual Learner (EMLL) preschool students individually or in small groups to promote kindergarten readiness; ­ Collaborate with Pre­K teachers to promote culturally and linguistically appropriate instructional methods and materials; ­Support parent and parent engagement for multilingual parents and families at the Early Learning Center; ­ Assist District Office staff with the ELL Identification Process and Kindergarten screenings as needed. This position is part time (2­3 days per week) with flexible hours.
