Collects pertinent social, psychological, developmental and spiritual data from the patient, significant others and other health care team members. + Performs as ongoing assessment, formulates nursing diagnosis and goals, plans appropriate interventions, and evaluates the outcome of the interventions. + Consistently documents in the patient and unit records according to written health system standards of care in order to meet legal and quality patient care requirements. + Provides appropriate teaching and information to patients and families including information on Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall prevention, Diabetes, Disease Process, Smoking Cessation, and Discharge instructions + Demonstrates commitment to the goals and values of the patient, Hospital, community and nursing profession through cost containment measures, maintaining confidentiality, appropriate ethical decision –making, and ensuring patient safety. + Uses interventions substantiated by research as appropriate in the patient population, Participates in research activities, identifies opportunities for research, and collaborates with the Outcomes managers and department. **Job Requirements** Required + Bachelors Of Science Nursing and At least one (1) year of RN experience, 24 - months and + Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire + Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire and + Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days **Where You'll Work** Recent construction has expanded our Memorial Livingston emergency room to 23,500 square feet. With state-of-the-art technology and increased resources, our ER can now serve even more of our growing community. The new facility includes 26 treatment stations, including three trauma rooms, 16 exam rooms, and adjacent radiology, ultrasound, and CT rooms. There are also designated areas for disaster response and decontamination. This state-of-the-art facility builds on the foundation of expert care you can expect at our Livingston hospital. You’re a multitasker who can react quickly as you’ll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while you’re providing emergency triage to others. As part of our ER team, you’ll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients by performing IV starts, foley catheter insertions, or aiding providers with chest tube insertions.
