Location: Gateway Plaza

Responsible for the coordination and implementation of emergency management and business continuity program efforts for facilities including hospitals, outpatient care clinics and laboratory locations. Manages critical tasks across all phases of emergency management including mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. Responsible for successful completion of emergency management activities including planning, organization, resource management, training, exercise, and improvement. Oversees business continuity planning activity for various facilities. Coordinates and assists in the use of emergency mass notification systems. Coordinates the acquisition and management of emergency management resources/assets to include inventory and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Represents IU Health assigned facilities in emergency preparedness activities, which may include the following organizations: city/county emergency management, county health department, IDHS, IDOH, and other local healthcare organizations. Facilitates regular IU Health Emergency Management and Business Continuity Subcommittee meetings. Success is accomplished through cooperation and collaborative decision-making, as well as development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the emergency preparedness, response, and recovery capabilities of assigned facilities.

 

High School Diploma/GED is required. Bachelor's Degree is preferred.    Requires 3-5 years of relevant experience.    Emergency Management, Business Continuity or Public Safety experience is required.    ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-700, ICS-800 required.    ICS-300 and ICS-400 preferred.    Computer software program proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Teams is preferred.
