**Description:**

MercyOne operates two hospital-based skilled nursing units and a 40-bed nursing home.

**Schedule:**
+ PRN, as needed
+ Requirement of one summer & one winter holiday
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**
+ Performs Rapid and Comprehensive Assessments
+ Develops and Implements Emergency Care Plans.
+ Delivers Timely and Effective Interventions
+ Prepares patients for diagnostic testing, procedures, or transfer to higher levels of care
+ Evaluates Patient Responses and Adjusts Care
+ Facilitates Communication and Coordination
+ Demonstrates Clinical Competence in Emergency Nursing
+ Manages Multiple Patients and Prioritizes Care
+ Provides Age-Appropriate and Culturally Sensitive Care
+ Ensures Safety and Compliance
+ Maintains Professional Standards and Regulatory Compliance
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
+ Associate degree in nursing required.
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
+ Current Iowa RN license, (current Illinois (IL) license if working in IL) required.
+ American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
+ American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required only if the unit has telemetry monitoring capabilities.
+ Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire
+ High language, intermediate to high math, high critical thinking ability
+ Basic computer skills required
