APP Emergency Department PRN

Piedmont is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Piedmont Atlanta Emergency department working on a PRN basis.

The position will be PRN for both the Emergency Department and the Emergency Department Observation Unit for the overnight shift in both areas.

7p-7a in ED Obs and 9p-7a in the ED.

Preference would be for a family NPs or a PA.

We should have between 6-8 shifts available per month between the ED and ED Obs area for this position.

In this role you will:

Work in a fast-paced environment under the supervision of emergency department physicians.Provide patient care as needed to groups and individuals, including reading radiographs and dispensing medication.Communicate with patient, family and other health care team members.Utilize EMR system entering and maintaining appropriate documentation and dictationStay up to date on patient care diagnosis and treatment, current methodologies and techniques of practice.

Qualifications:

Two years working as a PA/NP within emergency medicine or urgent care setting.

ATLS is required to be considered

Masters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification
