The EMEA Customs Specialist will manage and be accountable all aspects of origin, customs and reporting topics for PPG. They will be responsible for data & documentation accuracy and related process management.

They will work with suppliers and internal customers on compliance and proactively manage processes for effective export/import and implementation of any changes on time and in compliance.

Responsibilities:

PREFERENTIAL ORIGINPreparing preferential origin calculations for PPG productsPreparation of preferential supplier’s declaration documents on request from the stakeholdersCollection and maintenance of preferential supplier’s declarationsSupporting external suppliers and customers with origin related requests via mail and electronic /phone communicationMaintaining and monitoring of origin related master data in ERP and GTM in cooperation with Master Data team

AUDITS & POST SHIPMENT REVIEWSEnsuring that suitable audit trails / change control is in place to ensure data integrity and controlSupport of external and internal audit commitmentsImplement post audit corrective actions

SERVICEHandling requests from various internal customers related to customs mattersResponding to incoming queries in a timely and professional manner to deliver a positive customer experience in each interaction.Building sustainable relationships and trust with internal and external partiesCooperation with stakeholders regarding execution of commissioned assigmentsReporting and communicating of performance

Key qualifications:2-3 years of experience in customs/foreign tradeExperience with preferential origin & CoO determinationDegree level in administration or logistics

Key competencies:Organization and attention to detailAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentCreative analytical / investigative skillsMust be proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office (including Excel and Outlook)Strong computer skills. Experience with SAP and Oracle R12 is preferred but not requiredStrong oral and written communication skills and good customer orientation skills
