Eaton’s EMEA Sales & Marketing organisation is seeking a Segment Sales Director for Commercial & Industrial Buildings EMEA.
**What you’ll do:**
Eaton Corporation is seeking a Director EMEA Segment Sales for Commercial & Industrial Buildings to join our EMEA Electrical Sector Sales and Field Marketing organization. Reporting to the VP EMEA Sales & Marketing, the leader will be responsible for defining and driving execution of sales and market strategies for the segment across the EMEA region.
This strategic leader will own and architect Eaton’s C&I segment sales growth across EMEA. They will drive a unified strategy that directs how the region prioritizes customers, sub‑segments, and implements offers. They will build the commercial system that captures profitable demand, shapes the product roadmap, and align execution across a matrixed environment.
**Job Responsibilities:**
**Strategy and Market System**
Build a segment sales strategy that quantifies profitable growth, ranks opportunity pools, and defines where the region focuses (sub‑segments, accounts, offers). Translate market data, customer requirements, and competitive signals into a structured commercial approach aligned with business unit priorities and country execution models. Ensure EMEA C&I objectives are met using a total‑solution mindset, not isolated products.
**Cross‑Functional Influence**
Partner with operating divisions, EMEA marketing, and CSO to develop business cases that justify resource shifts, new offerings, and expansion bets in C&I. Drive segment‑specific product, service, and solution development by pushing differentiation opportunities, shaping roadmaps, pricing logic, and channel design. Validate value propositions for new offerings and represent Sales in major gate reviews.
**Operational Leadership**
Run segment‑level business reviews with countries, business units and EMEA leadership, establishing decision rights, escalation paths, and operating standards. Define sales roles, segmentation logic, and coverage models needed to win in C&I. Work with central marketing, businesses, and CSO to prioritize target accounts and decision makers, ensuring influence points are covered and account plans executed.
**Sales System Deployment**
Enforce full compliance with C&I sales ecosystem standards: productivity, process, tools, Salesforce hygiene, pipeline discipline, win/loss analysis, deal reviews. Coach, develop, and assess C&I sales talent at all levels. Build regional spec‑in capabilities and an expert network that strengthens Eaton’s influence with specifiers.
**Customer Pathways and Key Accounts**
Partner with CSO to map customer pathways and prescribe high‑impact engagement models. Define capability standards, competency frameworks, and assessment criteria for all roles in the segment. Set strategic account selection criteria and ensure EMEA‑wide consistency in process and execution.
**Value Proposition**
Refine and deliver a sharp, segment‑specific value proposition that articulates why C&I customers gain more with Eaton’s offering.
**Location:**
This role can be based in a number of locations across the EMEA region, with flexibility for a hybrid work pattern. International travel to spend time with customers, and for team leadership and operational alignment is essential.
**Qualifications:**
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced and engineering degree preferred
• 10+ years of leadership experience (direct and indirect)
• Proven impact inside a matrixed organization; ability to lead without authority
• Expertise in sales strategy, segmentation, and key account management
• Strong analytical rigor and diagnostic capability
**Skills:**
• Deep commercial background in the C&I segment
• Strong commercial judgment and applied customer knowledge
• High coordination discipline across functions and geographies
• Fluent English
