**About the Role:**
As an EMEA Assistant Fund Controller at CBRE Investment Accounting and Reporting Solutions (CBRE IA&R), you will join a leading organization in Fund Accounting for Real Estate Funds, Joint Ventures, and Separate Accounts. Reporting to the Manager of Fund Accounting, you will work closely with other controllers and departments in an international setting.
In this dynamic role, you will be driving financial reporting, controlling, and cash flow planning while expertly navigating CIT and VAT complexities. As a key liaison between business units, Investment Oversight, Treasury, and Payments, you'll ensure the seamless management of accurate financial information. You will use your expertise to influence strategic decision-making and enhance operational efficiency. **Responsibilities:**
- Prepare period-end reports, including annual and quarterly reports, and assist with complex projects.
- Consolidate and analyze financial data from departments within CBRE IA&R.
- Prepare financial statements (income statements, balance sheets, etc.).
- Coordinate quarterly VAT and CIT statements with external tax advisors.
- Manage quarterly covenant oversight.
- Conduct bank reconciliations, daily cash management, and bi-weekly cash flow forecasts.
- Maintain an accurate general ledger.
- Aggregate financial data at the portfolio level.
- Assist with annual audits in collaboration with external auditors.
- Prepare audit and SOC compliance files and address inquiries.
- Prepare statutory accounts.
- Create financial and management reports for clients and investors.
- Provide periodic reports to regulators.
- Manage investor capital contributions and distributions.
- Handle project-based tasks and ad hoc requests.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance (business economics or accountancy); having started CPA/ACCA/CA qualifications is preferred but not essential.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a financial organization or Big 4.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with IFRS and general accounting principles.
- Experience in preparing periodic and annual financial reports and managing audit processes.
- Strong analytical skills with a critical mindset.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, solution-focused, and a team player.
- Knowledge of financial ratios related to real estate investments is a plus.
