SUMMARY: 

 

Absence of any related duties or functions in this document does not imply that incumbent may be exempt from assignments required to support production.  The primary responsibility of this position is keep Embrex machine working.  Any duties outside of these duties and responsibilities are paid hourly including vinegar cycle performed on machines.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

      Set up machines and run AM and PM cycles daily on both machines

      Run vinegar cycle and QC machines weekly

      Monitor all incubators, hatchers and hallways on schedule

      Monitor crew and ensure proper procedures are being met

      Label Flocks and ensure they are correct

      Be able to perform light maintenance on machines

      Help transfer when necessary

      Be able to back up vaccine mixer

      Keep embrex room clean and orderly

      Train embrex personnel

      Keep hallways cleaned during process

      Help dispose of clear eggs throughout the day

      Fill in for Buggy washer and machine washer if necessary

 

Performs other related duties as assigned to support production demands as may be specified by hatchery manager

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

      Good Hand-Eye Coordination

      Excellent attendance habits

      Self motivated

      Light maintenance skills

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

 

LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

 

      Embrex Certification

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

 

      Continuously:  standing, walking

      Frequently:  lifting, turning, twisting, bending, squatting, pushing, grasping, kneeling, reach forward, pulling stretching.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

 

      Wet Floors

 

 

PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

 

        Safety Glasses

        Rubber Gloves

        Bump Cap

 

 

 

SAFETY FACTORS TO BE AWARE OF:

 

      Know how to use and locate the emergency stop switch.

      Know location of primary and secondary emergency exits.

      Know and use proper lifting techniques.
