Job Description
Summary:
The Functional Test Team Leader will lead a team technically of functional test engineers in the verification and validation of Rockwell Automation's industrial automation products and systems.Your role will involve planning, coordinating, building and technically leading functional testing activities, ensuring the quality and reliability of our products before they reach our customers.You have a background in software or firmware testing within an industrial automation or equivalent domain and experience with quality.You will report to ManagerYour Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive functional test plans and strategies based on product requirements and specifications.Define test scope, goals, and resource requirements for functional testing activities.Find and address potential risks and challenges related to functional testing.Oversee the execution of functional test cases and scenarios by the team.Ensure documentation of test results and defects.Analyze test results, identify causes of failures, and work with development teams to resolve issues.Report on test progress, metrics, and overall quality status.The Essentials - You Will Have:Hands on experience in Manual testingExperience in Test Engineering processes (Agile, continuous integration, waterfall) and methods for test case design and test coverage optimization.Expertise in test automation tools.Hands on experience in test automation frameworksProgramming experience in scripting languages is required (preferably Python).Experience in Ladder Programming / Structure text is requiredExperience with bug/anomaly tracking and triage systems (good to have)Good electrical and Test bed design skill/experience (good to have)The Preferred - You Might Also Have:Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, or related field).Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software or Firmware or hardware functional testing.Experience in the industrial automation domain (e.g., PLC, HMI, motion control, networking).What We Offer:Our benefits package includes …
