Job Family Definition:

Students of university, pursuing diplomas or degrees. Assists in various tasks aligned with their field of study, including research, collaboration on team initiatives and projects, problem-solving, and creative thinking to gain hands-on experience and develop professional skills. Includes internships, research roles, visiting scholar positions, or other program-related opportunities.

Responsibilities

Support senior engineers in developing, testing, and debugging embedded software components for networking and edge devices.Assist in maintaining and improving embedded software stacks (Linux, drivers, middleware, applications).Contribute to AI-driven development initiatives, such as integrating AI models, exploring automation tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, LLM-Assisted coding, etc.).Participate in team activities including technical code reviews, stand-ups, and design discussions.Research and prototype new methodologies, tools, or frameworks related to embedded software and AI.Collaborate across disciplines (hardware, QA, product) to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.Document technical findings and provide support in preparing internal demos or presentations.

Education & Experience

Student of a degree in a technical discipline (e.g. computer science, information technology, computer or electrical engineering, etc.)Familiarity with embedded systems programming (C/C++) and scripting (Python).Strong academic experience in development, design and implementation of software solutions.Knowledge of Linux development environments; experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.Exposure or strong interest in AI driven development for embedded platforms is highly desirable.Side projects, open-source contributions, or hackathon participation are valued.

Knowledge & Skills

Solid understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking fundamentals.Basic programming/scripting knowledge in Python, C, or C++.Familiarity with modern development workflows and tools (Git, issue tracking, testing frameworks).Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking, with ability to debug complex systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including fluency in English.Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn from experienced engineers.Passion for high-tech innovation and curiosity about the future of AI in embedded systems.

Impact/Scope

Interns in this role will actively contribute to projects that intersect embedded software and AI-driven development. They will work closely with senior engineers on features that impact next-generation networking, edge computing, and intelligent device solutions. This internship offers the opportunity to learn from experts, gain exposure to industry-leading practices, and develop skills that bridge embedded systems with the AI revolution.
