Our Digital Team partners with business units and clients to develop software and technical innovation. We collaborate with our development teams in science, mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, and geoscience to develop innovative software.

As a Embedded Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining IOT build systems based on Yocto Linux embedded OS platforms
- Assisting with creation of Yocto metapackages and recipes
- Assisting with Github project management and connection to automated build, automated test and other CI/CD pipelines
- Assisting with IIOT Cyber security application, deployment and maintenance
- Developing and maintaining embedded firmware using C/C++ for power electronics products.
- Optimizing firmware for performance, memory, and power efficiency.
- Implementing control algorithms, communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN), and hardware drivers.
- Collaborating with hardware teams for board bring-up and system integration.
- Working on bare-metal and RTOS-based systems (e.g., FreeRTOS, TI-RTOS).

To be successful in this role you will:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.Have 5+ years of experience in embedded C/C++ programming.Have experience with RTOS and bare-metal development.Be familiar with microcontrollers (TI C2000, STM32, NXP).Be proficient with debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG).Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Have excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Have the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.Preferred to have exposure to Linux-based embedded systems.Preferred to have experience with Yocto embedded systems, Buildroot, and metapackages.Preferred to have experience with Git/GitHub and automating builds.Desired to have knowledge of UBoot, firewalls, and IoT security strategies (secure boot chain).Desired to have experience with Node.js, HTML, JavaScript & CSS.Desired to have familiarity with secure IoT strategies.Work in a way that works for you
