SAIC is seeking an **Entry-Level Embedded Software Engineer** to join our team supporting hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing for military defense systems at Redstone Arsenal in **Huntsville, AL.** You’ll gain hands-on experience in embedded systems, automated testing, and LabVIEW development—all while working alongside experienced engineers who are ready to mentor and support your growth. **What you will do:** + Help maintain and support existing HIL test systems used for validating military software and hardware. + Assist in diagnosing system issues and implementing improvements to stability, maintainability, and efficiency. + Contribute to the development of new software and hardware tools to expand system capabilities. + Collaborate with engineers to support automated test infrastructure, documentation, and troubleshooting processes. + Participate in design and code reviews while developing your engineering skills and understanding of best practices. **Qualifications** **Education Requirements:** + Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering and zero (0) years' experience; Additional six (6) years' related experience can be considered in lieu of degree (per contract vehicle). **Clearance Requirements:** + Must have the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required. **Required Skills:** + Exposure to LabVIEW (via coursework, projects, or internship) or a strong willingness to learn. + Strong troubleshooting mindset and desire to understand system-level behavior. + Organized, self-motivated, and able to communicate clearly in a team setting. + Interest in exposure to a wide range of technical domains.
