Embedded Software Engineer
Overview Position: Sr. Embedded Software Engineer DUTIES: Responsible for software development of Electrical Trailer Towing accessories for automotive applications. Develop software which can easily be linked through Bluetooth® wireless technology and fully programmed using smart phone application. Develop detailed algorithms and code for embedded software using C language. Develop and execute software requirements specifications and software DV plans. Perform Software Defect tracking and Traceability of system requirements/testing. Coordinate preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages. Develop and maintain a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering activities. Review product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. 5% domestic travel required for company meetings. REQUIREMENTS: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. Must also have 24 months of demonstrated experience with each of the following: (1) Performing system analysis, design, and development work on embedded software for Automotive applications; (2) Decomposing software requirements for Testability and providing feedback to software requirement gathering process, software design, and review; (3) Embedded software design using C for transportation applications and defining test cases for functional, integration and validation, and test development; (4) Reviewing product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications; and (5) Coordinating activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
