As an Embedded Software Developer in the field of automotive functional safety, you will contribute to the development of safety-critical embedded software for advanced steering angle sensor systems. Your work directly supports vehicle stability systems and helps ensure safe driving experiences for millions of people.
You will:
Translate customer and system requirements into high-quality software requirements in alignment with the V-Model.Design robust software architectures and detailed software modules using tools such as Enterprise Architect and PlantUML.Develop and maintain MISRA-compliant embedded C code for automotive microcontrollers.Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 standards throughout the software lifecycle.Perform static code analysis (e.g., Astrée) to guarantee reliability and safety.Develop and execute unit and integration tests using frameworks such as CANTATA.Maintain requirements traceability using DOORS and Jira.Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, systems and test engineers to ensure seamless integration and product excellence.QualificationsWhat distinguishes you:
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.Experience
Experience in embedded software development, ideally within the automotive or safety-critical domain.Practical experience working according to the V-Model, especially in requirements engineering and software architecture (left side activities).Know-how
Strong proficiency in embedded C programming and microcontroller-based systems.Good understanding of automotive functional safety principles (ISO 26262).Familiarity with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS) and version control systems such as Git.Ideally, knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and communication protocols such as CAN.Experience with debugging and testing tools (e.g., Vector CANoe) is a plus.Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Python) for automation is beneficial.Languages
Good command of English (written and spoken). German is an advantage.Working Style and Methods
