Job Description

As an Embedded Firmware Engineer, you contribute to the development of an embedded gateway that is part of a scalable connectivity platform for heating appliances. Your work enables secure WiFi-based communication between appliances and digital services, supporting Bosch’s connected and smart home ecosystem.

Your contribution to something big: 

Test automation & CI: Design and implement an automated test environment to significantly reduce manual testing effort and support a continuous integration approach;Embedded software development: Develop and maintain software units from a platform perspective, following defined architecture principles and coding guidelines;Architecture-driven design: Design software according to architecture specifications and design standards, ensuring scalability and maintainability;Code quality & collaboration: Review source code from peers, contribute to knowledge sharing, and continuously improve software quality.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

Experience

More than 2 years of professional experience in embedded software development across the full development lifecycle (requirements, design, development and validation);Hands-on experience in C programming and development best practices.

Know-how

Knowledge of communication protocols and security concepts;Understanding of software design and architecture principles and related tools;Familiarity with REST APIs and connectivity-oriented architectures;Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins and Bitbucket).

Languages

Excellent English and Portuguese skills (written and spoken).
