• Schedule: 8:15 a.m.–3:15 p.m.
• Location: Country Club Hills, IL
About the Role
Seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to support a high-needs CC1 elementary classroom. You will work with 13 students (ages 5–8) and collaborate closely with a paraprofessional and general education staff to deliver individualized, high-quality instruction. This role is ideal for educators committed to inclusive practices, teamwork, and student growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
• Support IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Collaborate with general education teachers on accommodations and interventions
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and district regulations
• Foster a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred
• Valid state teaching certificate per district/state regulations
• One year of teaching experience preferred
• Preferred certifications: Standard Elementary, Standard Secondary, Standard Special Teaching
• Required endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1)
• Compliance with all professional practice standards
• Current CPR certification if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray if applicable
• Current health certificate (as required)
• Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years old
