Start Date: 2 weeks from offer Duration: 2025–2026 school year Schedule: Mon–Fri | 9:05a–3:25p Pay Rate: Up to $50/hour Location: Fitchburg, MA This position is for a self-contained classroom serving students in grades 1 and 2 with Emotional Disabilities (ED). The ideal candidate will hold a MA DESE Mild/Moderate or Severe Disabilities license. Special Education Teacher responsibilities include: + Developing and implementing lesson plans + Managing classroom routines and supporting both students and classroom staff + Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student growth + Writing IEPs and IEP progress reports + Attending and participating in IEP meetings + Ensuring compliance with all MA DESE requirements and program expectations Please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding this position. The Special Education Teacher has a commitment to team participation in planning and implementation of student programs including special instruction, tutorial assistance and consultation with general education staff.
