Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the teacher will design, implement, and support individualized student programs for learners from kindergarten through grade 12. This role requires strong collaboration with general education staff and a dedication to ensuring students receive specialized instruction, tutorial support, and appropriate accommodations aligned with their learning needs. Contract Details + Start Date: ASAP (February start anticipated) + Hours: 37.5 hours per week + Length: Through the end of the current school year + Setting: Elementary autism classroom + Compensation: $55 per hour + Benefits: Full benefits package available for eligible employees Applicants must be eligible to work as a Special Education Teacher in Colorado and able to obtain the Colorado CDE Special Education Generalist License. Minimum Requirements + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university (preferred) + Valid state teaching certificate meeting Colorado requirements + Minimum one year of teaching experience (preferred) + Preferred certifications: + Standard Elementary Teaching + Standard Secondary Teaching + Standard Special Teaching + Preferred endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) + Compliance with all applicable professional standards + Current CPR certification (if required) + TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray (as applicable) + Current Health Certificate (per state or contract requirements) + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements + Must be at least 18 years old Why Choose Amergis?
