Are you an educator who is passionate about making an impact and inspiring young learners… but now feels stuck in an outdated, rigid system that values information and test scores over a love of learning, creativity and gaining meaningful real life skills that would equip children to pursue their calling? Are you craving meaningful work, but feel burnt out by traditional education? Do you see students as unique individuals with their own paths and get excited to support them in unlocking their best potential? If yes, then you are at the right place. At Acton Academy Silicon Valley, we believe children are far more capable than our traditional educational model gives them credit for. One Guide for our mixed-age 6th-8th classroom In each role, you’ll inspire, mentor, coach, challenge, and inspire learners as they build the skills, mindset, knowledge, and independence needed to thrive in the real world. You'll step back so they can step up - no micromanaging, no busywork, just deep, purposeful learning. What You’ll Do: ? Design real world problems that would inspire a love for learning, curiosity, and equip learners to acquire knowledge and skills vs being “taught” information in a theoretical way. ? Mentor and coach learners through hands-on projects, Socratic discussions, and real-world problems. ? Foster independence, curiosity, citizenship, and ownership - not just compliance. ? Collaborate with a tight-knit team to design experiences that bring learning to life. ? Be humble and realize that the classroom is not about you and what you want,
